Here is a long overdue update!

Due to the increasing difficulties with
distance and scheduling
rehearsals/recording, The Routes have
parted ways with long serving bassist
Toru Nishimuta.
A new bass player will be announced in
the next month, so watch this space...
The debut gig for the new lineup will be
18th September at the Takatsuka Open Air
Festival. More details to follow...

The
Sazanami Label compilation album Wild
Sazanami Beat Vol.5 was released on 7th
July 2010. It features The Routes playing
a cover of The Standells song "Sometimes
Good Guys Don't Wear White". It also

Firstly, please welcome our new bass
player Bancho.
Our first gig with the new line up will be
the Takatsuka Open Air Festival on 18th
September 2010. The Takatsuka blog and

After that we will play at Yojigen
(Fukuoka) on 16th October, and Tropicoco
(Nakatsu) on 6th November.

The Routes new album Alligator is due to be
released in April 2011, on
Dirty Water

Since myspace became virtually un-useable, we
deleted our myspace page and moved to Reverb
Nation/facebook. Please join our facebook
page.If you're in a band and don't have a
Reverb Nation page, it's highly recommended
that you make one. Myspace is a sinking ship.
THE LIVE PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED!
We are playing the 10th Anniversary for
Tropicoco in Nakatsu, and a Quake Relief
concert in Beppu, organised by our friends
Nanbanjin to raise money for people in the
north of Japan.
After that we're off to Europe. We will be
selling the new album/single at the Europe
shows. We also have some very limited edition
tour posters and badges, designed by
Christophe Lopez-Huici (Bananas Magazine).
Get them while you can!
After that it's MODS MAYDAY in Fukuoka.
We should have an instrumental split single
out in May, with Los Wakamonos and The
Paralyz. The single has been mastered by Tim
Warren, and will be released on New York
Label Go Ape Records.

The Routes will release a 7" single with
Groovie Records (Portugal). It will be
limited to 500 copies. More information here:

The Routes new album will be released on
Dirty Water Records. It will be available as
a CD, an LP and download. More information
coming soon!

Firstly a big overdue thank you to everybody that came to see us on our
European Tour! Special love and thanks to Edgar (Groovie Records),
Carlos (Action Weekend Records), Graziella De Michelle, Elmer Imbasil
(Frat Cave), Neil & Chris (Stay Sick), and Dirty Water Records.

We are very pleased to announce that the Non Stop A Go Go Ape 7"
split single is almost ready! The A side features Los Wakamonos and
The Paralyz, and the B Side is The Routes track "Mantohihi Mama". All
the tracks are instrumental.


























The release party is on 9th July 2011, at Yojigen (Fukuoka, Japan).
More details to follow soon...
The Routes will play with Pokamusu, Doorbellz, and The Yummys on
20th August 2011, at Utero (Yakuin, Fukuoka).

2011 was an overwhelming year for us. Thanks to everyone
